About Persystent

Company Overview

Persystent® Software solutions ensure that end-user desktop and laptop computers are always available and fully functional whether in the office or on the road.

The Persystent Software story began in 1998 when a small group of Florida-based entrepreneurs founded a company called SmartDesk and launched a product that "locked down" the core configuration of a PC. At the time, the product was sold to boost helpdesk productivity.

Several private investors saw the potential, and in 2002, SmartDesk was purchased and Persystent Technologies, Inc. was born. The product was renamed Persystent Enterprise, which included repair, imaging and compliance functionality to address key areas within PC lifecycle management. Persystent Enterprise was sold exclusively to IT organizations within large companies managing thousands of computers.

New leadership arrived in 2007 with a vision to take the company “down market” to serve a broader audience, namely small and medium sized businesses (SMBs). A sister product, Persystent Suite, was introduced to meet the demands of businesses requiring 24/7 uptime with limited resources to support a high ratio of employees to IT staff. Persystent Edge, a turnkey server appliance for SMBs, preconfigured with Persystent Suite, was also rolled out.

In July of 2009, coinciding with the launch of Persystent Solo, the company changed its name to Persystent Software to better reflect the multiple product offering built on its core technology. Persystent Solo, a non-networked, high speed, zero-touch version of Persystent Suite, is ideal for Managed Service Providers (MSPs), remote and mobile users.

Today Persystent Suite is the fastest automated PC recovery solution in the world, restoring corrupted, changed or missing OS and application files with just a simple reboot.

Nothing, including viruses, malware or other unauthorized programs can stop a Persystent PC from returning to its desired configuration.
