Persystent Software Executive Nominated for Tampa Bay Business Journal 2010 CFO of the Year
Tampa, FL, January 19, 2010 – Persystent Software, developers of the fastest PC recovery products on the market today announced that Dave Ascani, the company’s chief financial officer, has been selected among a group of 20 Tampa Bay executives as a finalist for the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s 2010 “CFO of the Year” Award.
The invitation to take part in this CFO award nomination extended to a wide variety of companies and organizations throughout Tampa Bay – ranging from small-, medium- and large-private companies, to nonprofit and government agencies, as well as public companies.
CFO of the Year Award entries were scrutinized on a range of criteria, including roles and responsibilities, contribution to the community, strategic initiatives, integrity and ethics in management and business practices, as well as “above and beyond” accomplishments that truly set one CFO apart from the rest.
“Persystent Software has gone through an amazing transformation since its inception, and Dave has been there as our financial guide to enable this successful change,” says Joe Loughry, CEO of Persystent Software. “The financial leverage we have achieved has been a key ingredient in our company’s record growth.”
By nominating Dave Ascani for the distinguished honor, Persystent Software acknowledged Mr. Ascani’s recent efforts to secure more than $16 million in equity financing and $2 million in venture debt funding, a highly impressive feat, particularly given today’s challenging economic climate. The company also praised how Mr. Ascani’s “passion for and evangelism of Persystent technologies has clearly enabled the continued growth of the company.” Persystent Software experienced record sales in 2009 and expects to realize even greater success in 2010, particularly given the release of Windows 7.
