Persystent Software to Exhibit at HIMSS10 – the Country’s Premier IT Healthcare Summit
Tampa, FL, March 1, 2010 – Persystent Software, developers of Persystent Suite, the fastest PC recovery solution in the world, restoring corrupted, changed or missing files with a simple reboot automatically or on demand, today announced that it will be exhibiting at: HIMSS10 – the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society’s annual conference and main event for the preeminent thought-leadership organization dedicated to “transforming healthcare through IT.”
At HIMSS10, Persystent will not only be showcasing its PC discovery recovery capabilities, but also how its solution enables IT administrators to streamline OS migrations, including to Windows 7. Conference attendees can stop by the Persystent booth for a preview of Persystent 4.5 with Windows 7 compatibility. This new release will enable “automated and streamlined” migrations of XP and Vista to the new O/S while offering the fastest PC repair capability once machines are upgraded.
HIMSS10, which will be held March 1-4, 2010 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia, will include more than 900 exhibits, 300 education sessions and 200 exhibiting companies ready to showcase their solutions tailored to IT professionals in the healthcare industry. Among those exhibitors will be Persystent Software at booth #2413, Hall C.
According to the software solutions provider, the all-in-one repair, imaging and compliance features found in Persystent Suite are particularly well suited to IT departments in healthcare because they target the pain points that are inherent in hospital settings, including:
- Exceptionally Low Ratio of IT Staff to PC End Users
- Added Pressure to Meet HIPAA Initiatives to Protect Patient Records
- 24/7 Computer Uptime Requirements
According to Katherine Wattwood, VP of Product Development at Persystent Software, “in few sectors is the ratio of IT staff to end users more challenging than in healthcare. Situations where a handful of IT technicians are supporting upwards of a thousand PC end users is not unusual.” Ms. Wattwood adds, “With Persystent loaded on a PC, it just takes a simple reboot automatically or on demand to restore the system’s application and O/S files and return the PC to a working state, with the PC end user’s personal profiles and settings preserved.”
Unlike other disaster recovery software products, with Persystent Suite, no network connection is required and a healthy O/S is not needed to engage the repair solution.
Persystent revealed that 2009 was the company’s most successful year yet in serving the healthcare sector. Despite a challenging economic climate, Persystent welcomed a record number of new customers from hospitals and health systems, medical practices and health service providers throughout the U.S.
