Persystent Technologies announces OEM agreement with IBM

Tampa, FL, February 23, 2007
– Persystent Technologies, (www.persystent.com) a leading provider of automated desktop availability and compliance solutions, today announced an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) agreement with IBM.

Under the agreement, Persystent will OEM IBM Tivoli Provisioning Manager technology as part of the Persystent Enterprise product. In addition, IBM and Persystent will participate in joint marketing to help promote awareness of end-to-end application management that includes IBM Tivoli system management software and Persystent's availability solution for desktop uptime and compliance.

"IBM has great strength in the IT service management and availability markets," said Ray Weadock, president and CEO of Persystent. "Our solution can provide joint customers and partners with an opportunity to extend that availability to enterprise desktops and laptops."

Most IT shops restrict their management to monitoring the data center infrastructure (servers, network and storage). With the complementary approach of adding Persystent to manage and maintain the desktop device, customers will have a solution that provides uptime for the entire application and clear visibility to the service levels all the way to the end user.

Persystent Technologies adds a new perspective to PC life cycle management. By automatically enforcing compliance with policy, configuration and usage guidelines, users experience greater uptime and businesses can significantly reduce the cost associated with support and incident management. Persystent maintains a device's authorized operating environment without human intervention. As a result, PCs function as intended every day, and organizations improve business continuity and service levels and mitigate areas of business risk.
