Complying with the FDCC Mandate

What is the FDCC mandate?
The Federal Desktop Core Configuration (FDCC), an OMB (U.S. Office of Management and Budget) mandate, requires that all Federal Agencies standardize the configuration of approximately 300 settings on all Windows based computers.

What is the purpose of the FDCC mandate?
The standardization is designed to strengthen Federal IT security and reduce opportunities to exploit government computer systems.

How does Persystent Suite ensure FDCC compliance?
Persystent Suite enforces the FDCC configuration automatically across all desktops and laptops.  Persystent scans and compares the required FDCC configuration at each boot cycle. All files or settings that have been modified, added or deleted will be restored with the desired FDCC configuration automatically. Activity for each PC is logged for auditing and reporting.

Persystent works regardless of whether the PC is connected to the network, and does not require a healthy OS to engage. This is ideal for mobile federal employees as well as those working from remote locations.

As requirements change, or as other components are updated through third party deployment tools, the baseline FDCC image can be easily adjusted and re-deployed from a centralized, web-based management console.
